independence day06

On Tuesday July 4th what happened….um I woke up like 2pm. I was out late doing a bunch of nutin and came home and began messin with the computer…and went to sleep after 6 for sure. Anyways, Family Bar B Q was on tap but I had no clue what time it started I gets down to Harlem at like 4, see the usual suspects and all de Brina babies. young wun was busy spittin all over the place and wiping it on my clothes. Great times. I had to move a bunch of stuff indoors when it started to piss on us. At that point I knew it was time to go. Half the crew was there and I had another BX bar B Q to hit up.
So I gave my departure speech and I bounced.
I stopped by Key Food and bought Gatorade (10 for $10) and copped 6 Tropicanas for the Bar B. I see CuzNCeasar as I am parking in his old spot. I walks in the spot to see the dudes and the dudettes of most the dudes plus another joint that says ‘I remember him’ as soon as I walks in. She immediately flashes back to the night we met and kicked it for a lil minute. I agreed on the details…She has a good memory because that night was in 2003, maybe earrrly 2004. I sit down and chat up the girlies for a lil while. Italy wins the world cup semifinal with 2 goals in OT.
Someone cracks open the mac and cheese and I go for it. The grill gets going after about an hour of technicalish difficulties. Almost immediately, we got Turkey dogs and turkey burgers. TreeC’sLove&Basketball gets there so we all grubbin and laughing because mad folks are late and we are eating their food. So me and TL, L decides to beat up on our foes which includes Cam Jansen and her talkative but not in an annoying way ass and the Crusader. They are disposed of rather quickly. (At some point I got complimented on my skin and a cosigner jumped in. that threw me off a bit.)We bid very well, if I should say so myself. Rookie of the year 98’ came thru with his lovely and 2 friends one which was extremely sexy in her own right. They were getting their butts whipped in Spades as well until it was time to get DrunkJRed to give a blessing of the food that shouted out ‘those of us who have been incarcerated recently.’
Thankfully there were a lot of light skinned broads there, so there was plenty of food to go around. In all, I had a diesel turkey snawsuage, 2/3s of a turkey burger, a piece of chicken and like 3 servings of mac and cheese. Good intake I must admit.
I left @ like 1015 cuz I was fatigued from the previous days and I knew I had to iron up clothing for the work week. Sike! Really I left cuz dat damn construction in the hood is killin us cats with parking spaces.
